Abstract
This study investigates the impact and effectiveness of visual organizers (graphical tools) on developing academic writing skills among university-level English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners. A total of 22 undergraduate students participated in the quasi-experimental research and were divided equally into control and experimental groups. While the control group generated academic essays using traditional text-based outlines, the experimental group utilized visual organizers, including Venn diagrams, argument trees, and cognitive conceptual maps, to structure their thoughts. The empirical findings demonstrated that the integration of visual organizers significantly enhanced students' performance in terms of text structure, logical coherence, and argumentative strength, proving to be a highly effective pedagogical tool in academic writing courses.
