Abstract
The adoption of digital technologies in Nigeria’s education sector has created opportunities for improving efficiency, transparency, and service delivery through e-educational management. However, challenges such as fragmented digital systems, poor integration of ICT platforms, inadequate technical capacity, and weak stakeholder coordination limit the effectiveness of these innovations. This paper explores the application of systems thinking as a strategic approach to enhancing e-educational management in Nigeria. By emphasizing holism, interdependence, feedback loops, stakeholder engagement, contextual analysis, and adaptive learning, systems thinking provides a framework for integrating technology, policy, human resources, and institutional goals into a coherent and sustainable management system. The study highlights six key applications of systems thinking that can improve planning, coordination, continuous improvement, and digital transformation in Nigerian educational institutions. Implementing a systems-based approach has the potential to enhance efficiency, accountability, and overall institutional performance in the digital era.
