Abstract
The Russian language continues to play an important role in engineering and agro-technical education in post-Soviet countries. Despite the global dominance of English, Russian remains a key medium for accessing technical literature, academic resources, and professional communication in engineering and agricultural sciences. This article explores the significance of Russian language proficiency for students in engineering and agro-technical universities. The study highlights its contribution to understanding technical terminology, improving academic performance, and enhancing access to scientific knowledge. The research is based on literature analysis and pedagogical observations in technical education contexts.
