Abstract

This article presents a poetic analysis of the “eye,” one of the most frequently employed symbols in Alisher Navoiy’s poetry. In particular, it examines how Navoiy, in his ghazals, effectively utilized the somatic imagery of the eye and its equivalents in the native language, as well as its Persian and Arabic counterparts, thereby developing unique and expressive artistic motifs and making a significant contribution to the elevation of the eye’s artistic symbolism.
