Formation of Oikonyms (In The Example of Jizzakh region)

This article is devoted to the formation of oikonyms, specifically within the Jizzakh region. Oikonyms, or place names of inhabited areas, are primarily formed through onomastic conversion, affixation, and syntactic-lexical methods. These processes reflect linguistic, historical, and cultural influences, shaping the toponymic landscape of the region.
